THE CENTRE FOR THE LESS GOOD IDEA
Marigold Beads is delighted to present a new range developed in collaboration with The Centre for the Less Good Idea – an interdisciplinary incubator space for the arts, based in Maboneng, Johannesburg.
Founded by William Kentridge and Bronwyn Lace, The Centre aims to find the less good idea by creating and supporting experimental, collaborative and cross-disciplinary arts projects.
Our collaboration draws on a shared practice rooted in improvisation and experimentation and in following ideas or beginnings, attentively observing and responding to the unpredictable turns inherent to a creative practice. Both Marigold Beads and The Centre relinquish the safety of a known end point or outcome, working intensely and intently, but without knowing precisely where their paths will take them.
